This is Thomas. A Lekkernassûh’er since 2020 ánd partner at The Shore!

“Since the beginning of 2020 I have been getting my vegetable package at Lekkernassûh. I like that the offer is as organic as possible and I also like that it comes from local suppliers.

I used to picked up my vegetable package at the Witte de Withstraat. Every time I cycled from The Shore to the Gymzaal, I thought: there will be more people who come from Scheveningen to get their weekly vegetable package at Lekkernassûh. It was sometimes very busy and there was often a long line. Here I saw an opportunity to relieve other locations.

At The Shore I am a partner and responsible for the bar, restaurant and events.

We are open every day and there is always someone present on Wednesdays to hand out the packages.

In this way we can make it easier for the people who already get it from Lekkernassûh and who live in Scheveningen, because they can now get the vegetable package close to home. And in addition, people who know The Shore but not Lekkernassûh yet, can get acquainted with the organic vegetable packages.

We don’t earn anything from it, but we don’t have to. We operate on a non-profit basis, we pursue an ethical way of doing business for both people and the environment. In all decisions we make, we consider the impact on people and the environment. At The Shore, everything on the menu is also organically produced.

I think The Shore and Lekkernassûh have a similar vision and are therefore a great match.”
