On 10 May, a Spring Market was organised in the Gymzaal. It was a wonderful day! The large doors of the Gymzaal were open, the sun was shining and people came in with smiles.
Several stalls were present, we got een inside in the world of Dex ontdekt (Dex discovers). A children’s book about awareness, being a child and that this is something you should never lose as an adult. Hemel en aardewerk sold delicious pickled products and handy things for the kitchen. At Kwekerij de Verwondering you could buy plants and seeds, grown in The Hague. Marijke sold the Pannemand, slow cooking, as energy-efficient as possible! Jessie Hoefnagel brought beautiful works of art and next to her stood Isabelle Backer with beautiful photography. If you got hungry in the meantime, you could visit CraftedMM for delicious baked goods. To the left Carolien Hondius makes baked goods you’d rather not sink your teeth into, beautiful artistic treats and mosaics. And finally, you could look at the wood carvings of Joeri Fantastic to also get to see the demonstration of how he makes this the old-fashioned way and only with muscle power 馃槈
Of course, you could also fill your trays and bags at the Packag Free shop. And De Volkskeuken had made delicious food which you could grab for a donation. And of course, it was delicious as always!
It was a very successful market!
