Uncollected package policy
We are glad that you are a participant of Lekkernassûh and thus joining our mission for a fair, healthy, local food system and against food waste. As a participant, you have a responsibility to manage your profile carefully.
Our system works as follows:
1. If you are on ACTIVE on Sunday evening at 8 o’clock, we will order a package for you.
2. On Tuesday, all participants who ordered a package will receive an email to remind them that they are expected at the market.
3. We assume that everyone who ordered a package will pick it up. This way we don’t waste food and we as Lekkernassûh don’t incur unnecessary costs.
But what if you can’t come? These are the steps you can take:
- Try to find a neighbor or acquaintance who can pick up your package for you (if you don’t know anyone, you can find someone via our facebook page).
- If you didn’t pick up your package, we will make a note in your profile. We will ask you to pay for your unclaimed package the next time you come to the market. Reason: This helps us manage our costs since we pay for packages in advance, and finding an alternative to these packages going to waste costs us time and money.
Please note:
- We cannot help you if you can’t pick up your package, even if you email us beforehand. Lekkernassûh relies on participants to take responsibility for their own orders and cannot offer a solution.
- If you have not shown up twice we will assume that you are accidentally on active. We will put your account on pause and you will receive an email from the participant-team. We will ask you to pay for at least one package on your next visit to the market. Don’t forget to set your profile back to ACTIVE if you want a package.
- If the price of the package is a financial burden, we encourage you to volunteer your time and pay with Timebank hours. We always need helping hands and it’s a great way to connect with the community. You can sign up via the Market volunteer schedule.
We hope for your understanding.
