The Lekkernassûh fresh market operates at several locations in The Hague. At the fresh market we sell vegetable and fruit package , and on single sales seasonal fruits and vegetables, eggs, cheese, and we also sell products from local entrepreneurs. All our products are sustainably grown, pesticide-free, local, in season, and we use as little packaging material as possible. We hope that makes you happy! Like to get a delicious vegetable or fruit package?
What do you get?
Your vegetable package contains at least 7 vegetables, sometimes added with herbs. A fruit package contains about 2.5 kg of organic fruits. All fresh, local, in season, and sustainably produced.
Depending on the season, you may also find fruits or herbs in your package.
A vegetable package costs €13.50* or 1.35* Timebank hours. A fruit package costs €10,00 of 1 Timebank hour.

How does it work?
Subscribe to Lekkernassûh and choose a market or pick-up point near your place.
Every Friday you will receive an email with the content of the next vegetable and fruit package. Not later than Sunday night 8 PM we need to know whether you order a package (which you will need to pick up the following Wednesday). In that case we will purchase a package for you and we then reckon with your visit to the location you selected.
Every single week you can decide to order a vegetable package and/or fruit package. Or to pause your account temporarily. You can apply your changes through your personal profile page.

There is no registration fee, and you can choose which weeks you want or do not want to receive a package.
If you are going on vacation, or if you do not want to or cannot pick up a package: no problem at all! Just put your account on pause for that week before 8 PM Sunday.

Vegetable package
The vegetable package changes contents every week and consists of at least 7 different types of vegetables. Depending on the season, sometimes you will also find a small amount of fruits or herbs in your vegetable package. The package is seasonal. So in spring and summer you will find more leafy greens in your package and in winter more cabbages and tubers. We also choose special vegetables that you can’t always find in the supermarket, such as turnip greens, romanesco or salsify. All growers are local and regional. Fruit package
The package changes each week and consists of 4 to 5 kinds of fruit from the season. Apples (alternate varieties) and bananas are often a regular part of the package.
You get around 2.5 kg of organic fruit. This may be less, if we provide grapes, berries and other summer fruits or more exclusive fruits.
Growers are local if possible: initially we supply what is available in the Netherlands, then in Europe and possibly outside Europe if not otherwise possible.
Transparent origin: of each fruit type we try to indicate the grower, but this is not always possible. We buy the fruit from Kievit from Katwijk. Where they cannot buy the organic fruit directly from the growers, Kievit sources it internationally through specialized importers (such as Solid Organic Link). It regularly happens that an (international) supply of a type of fruit cannot be delivered by a single grower. If the fruit is then purchased from several growers in a country or region, Kievit cannot indicate who the specific grower is.
The fruit packages are delivered in paper bags. These will be reused and remain at the market. So bring your own bag!
Vegetable purchase
Curious how the vegetable pack is created? Every week our purchasing team selects delicious vegetables for your vegetable package. We have three regular suppliers: Hoeve Biesland in Delfgauw, Kievit in Katwijk and Landzicht Biologisch in Strijen. From them we buy a large part of our vegetables. They provide the link between us and the regional network. They transport for themselves and for other farmers, so the CO2 footprint caused by transport remains as low as possible. Suppliers
Regarding the vegetables for our vegetable packages we cooperate with suppliers in Zuidholland, Zeeland, Gelderland, Flevoland, Brabant and Limburg. Our fruit packages we buy from Kievit in Katwijk. Kievit purchases the fruit both locally and internationally. Besides vegetables and fruit Lekkernassûh also sells other products from local entrepreneurs, such as bread, honey, and so on. Locations
All Lekkernassûh locations are run by volunteers. Without them, there would be no market. There are currently four locations and several pick-up points.
