Responsibilities of participants regarding picking up the ordered fresh packages

We are glad that you are a participant of Lekkernassûh and thus joining our mission for a fair, healthy, local food system and against food waste. As a participant, you have a responsibility to manage your profile carefully. If you are on ACTIVE on Sunday evening at 8 o’clock, we will order a package for you. On Tuesday, all participants will receive an email to remind them that they are expected at the market. We assume that everyone who ordered a package will pick it up. This way we don’t waste food and we as Lekkernassûh don’t incur unnecessary costs.

Sometimes things go wrong and you can’t come anyway – what can you do then?

  • If you already know that you won’t be able to pick up your package, try to find a neighbor or acquaintance who can pick up your package for you (if you don’t know anyone, you can find someone via our facebook page). It is impossible for us to find solutions for people who cannot come. Therefore, there is no point in emailing us if you can’t come to pick up your package.
  • If you have not had your package picked up by someone else, we will make a note in your profile. We have always done that, but from now on we will ask you to pay for your unclaimed package the next time you come to the market.
  • If you have not shown up twice we will assume that you are accidentally on active. We will then put you on pause and you will receive an email about this from participant management. Don’t forget to set your profile back to ACTIVE if you want a package again. We will then ask you to pay for at least one package on your next visit to the market.
  • If you are unable to pay for at least one package then why not volunteer some of your time instead and pay with Timebank hours? We always need helping hands and it’s a great way to connect with the community. You can sign up via the Market volunteer schedule.

We hope for your understanding.
